Yesterday I broke up with my trainer and my gym. This fall it just wasn’t clicking in my life. I wasn’t seeing results nor was I even wanting to be there. I found my new fitness self there and it was an amazing year.
But today I started a new relationship with a cross-functional group fitness gym! Boy oh boy! This is our group post 30 minute of circuit training! It was an awesome first class and I am excited to be trying something new! Our trainer snapped this photo because she couldn’t stop laughing at us for not even getting up when the buzzer ended the class.
The gym sells itself like a version of cross-fit but more cross-functional. It incorporated so much and I was very impressed by how easily it flowed.
The trainers encourage new clients to do a 7-day cleanse and then follow the paleo diet. I haven’t made the plunge but I am (heavily) considering it.
Have you tried cross-functional gyms? What do you think?
For those of you who read this and live in Philadelphia you have probably heard of the 21-year-old boy, Christian Massey, who was murdered on Saturday afternoon for his $300 beats headphones. And if you haven’t heard of this please read the links or google it. It’s heartbreaking and will leave you with chills. There is no suspect for this awful act of brutality.
Christian was a graduate of my high school and to say this murder has rocked the community is an understatement. Christian had a rough life, left to be a ward of state at age 12, but was on the track for a bright future. Christian was also mentally handicapped and worked so hard to overcome his odds. He played 2-years of varsity football and 1-year of varsity basketball.
Christian’s family can not pay to provide Christian a proper burial. Our School District is now fundraising to make sure that Christian is remembered properly because that is what he deserves.
If you are looking to give this holiday season, please consider making any size donation to the Christian Massey Fund. If sending a check place the name “Christian Massey” on the memo line.

Well said buzzfeed. Well said.
I wholeheartedly agree with all of this just about everyday
This weekend we ordered our Christmas Cards…Pretty excited with how they turned out. And love that my Dad suggested he put on his trusty Santa suit for a photo opt! The one of the 4 of us and him as Santa didn’t turn out too well. But the one with Gunner was too cute not to add to the card!
Tis the Season!
